Porgy and Bess
Somerset ST-RL-517
Yesterday I posted the album "The glory that was Gershwin" by Frank Chacksfield. After posting it I remembered having bought an album a few weeks ago on which the 101 Strings perform Gerswins 1935 opera "Porgy and Bess". It's a German release of the album, but so was the 101 Strings Orchestra, the Northwest German Radio Orchestra of Hamburg. Googling learned me that the album is probably from 1958.
