Frank Mills (born June 27, 1942), is a Canadian pianist and recording artist, best known for his solo instrumental hit "Music Box Dancer".
Born in Quebec, Mills began his career as a member of The Bells from 1970 to 1972. He performed piano for the band, whose best-known hit was "Stay Awhile" (1971). After leaving The Bells in 1972, Mills began a solo career.

The Glenn Miller Orchestra directed by Buddy de Franco - Live In London 1971

Buddy, one of the world's greatest jazz clarinetists, was appointed leader of the Glenn Miller Orchestra 1966-1974. With musical tastes changing and new songs never associated with the Miller music becoming hits, Buddy faced a dilemma. Like many who knew Glenn well, DeFranco realized that musically Miller would never have stood still. And so now and then he struck out in new directions, not merely extending the Miller style to current songs but also using new voicings and modern rhythms that bear little resemblance to the familiar Miller sounds.

Listen for instance to his version of "Theme from The Odd Couple", a real masterpiece in the hands of Buddy de Franco and this wonderfull orchestra.

During the seventies one of the most popular televison-quizz-programms in Holland was "Eén van de Acht", invented and hosted by Mies Bouwman. (In England known as "The Generation game, and in Germany as: Am Laufenden Band) Ever when this show was aired on dutch television it was quiet on the streets. At that time is was usual to have a live orchestra on stage. The Tony Nolte television orchestra excisted of the best Dutch musicians of that time. This record has always been in my top-ten favourite collection , and has the best renditions I've heard sofar of Wishin'and Hopin', Canto de Ossanha, Up Up and Away and Matrimony. Judge for yourself.
